Welcome to the website of St. Albert the Great Chapel and Catholic Student Center in Hammond, Louisiana, serving Southeastern Louisiana University, the third largest university in the state, and second largest in the University of Louisiana System!

Owned and operated entirely by the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, St Albert Student Center has a rich history of serving the pastoral, religious, and spiritual needs of Southeastern’s Catholic community of students and staff for over 50 consecutive years. Our staff is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone to gather regularly for prayer, the sacraments, devotions, fellowship, and fun. University staff, faculty, alumni, students, and local support community members are a vital part of the St. Albert family. Mass & Reconciliation Schedule

Effective July 1, 2024

Sunday: 10am Mass

*The 6pm Mass will pause over the summer break and resume August 18th as Southeastern comes back into session. During the Summer break, the 10am Mass will be a “Mass for the people.”

Monday: Reconciliation -11:30am-12:25pm

Mass -12:30pm

Tuesday: No Mass or Reconciliation

Wednesday: Reconciliation - 5:30pm-5:55pm

Mass - 6:00pm

Thursday: No Mass or Reconciliation

Mass Intentions that have been scheduled for dates affected by this transition will be rescheduled to the nearest available Mass. If you have any questions or would like to make different arrangements, please call or stop by the office. We are happy to help!
